Age: | 45 | Background: | Dj Chris Jones
From the age of 12 Chris was out being a roady for his uncles mobile disco. It was then that he gained his love and passion for music and performing. When his uncle got a new sound system he gave his old one to Chris and he soon became a favourite with his mates by djing the latest sounds at their house parties.
It was not till Chris went to University that his dj career really kicked off! He soon became a resident dj at the student union playing to crowds of over 500 revelers weekly alongside the likes of UK garage threesome The Dream Team. His funky disco sound became so popular that after a year he decided to run his own very successful weekly night called subculture. The following it gained spread beyond the university crowd, and he soon was offered guest spots at a number of local bars and clubs. Word spread as far as Bristol and promoters from the South Wests super club The Rock came to hear him play at Subculture and offered him a residency.
Chris then soon found himself involved with the Funky4love team where he was invited to play as a guest at the legendary nightclub Pacha. His debut set went down like storm and the Funky4love crew were so impressed with this young mans talent that they asked him to jump aboard and join their team. With a pacha residency organised in February what will 2005 hold in store for Chris Jones and the rest of the Funky4love team.
With Further events planned at Canvas & Monthly affairs at Pacha this man is one to watch!
