Age: | 47 | Background: | From only owning two records and no equipment back in 2003 this kid has dealt with the music addiction the only way most up and coming DJ's knows how... get a credit card.
Turntables were left at the house after a party, 2 more days of no sleep and a day of work missed there was no turning back from the obvious truth that DJing was already deep in the veins.
This turned into 8 hours a day practicing, playing house party's, jamming with local MC's and DJ's. Eventually after a year the kid started an evening in the little town of Banchory called Stagger-Inn which consisted and different local DJ & MC's, several TVs linked up showing local filmed nonsense and arty fluff. The place would fill wall to wall. Unfortunately after 6 months local musical talent was dropping off and leaving town. The credit card bill was up to £36,000 from buying a room full of records, turntables, computers... It was time to skip town too. Whilst the house was being sold to pay off the debt the kid was approached by an old friend & DJ - A'La Fu (Kenny Atkin) who'd been at the last ever Stagger-Inn. He offered the partnership to co-run RadioSkool in Aberdeen. Sold house, Sold partnership.
So for the last 2 years A'La Fu & kidProquo have been running RadioSkool evenings bringing to Aberdeen some amazing talented guests from around the World. The kid has extended the 'don't give a crap just party' DJ style and love for playing to international events and festivals such as the 'Nouex Les Mines International Ski And Snowboard Jam' plus Snowbombing 06' & 07', but still won't turn down any opportunity for a house party or a generator powered setup in the woods. From 6 hour sets to entire sleepless weekends this man is a non stop music machine with an endless multi genre tune supply that can please any ears that are keen to listen.
