Get ready for the biggest August bank holiday bonanza you have ever seen as Goodgreef sets sail in Newcastle for a 4 room, 36 DJ, 10 hour extravaganza which is going to be the only way to say goodbye to the summer as we bring you yet another simply ridiculously good party!
There are so many people DJing it’s hard to know where to start but how about Eddie Halliwell, heralded as Mixmag’s DJ of the Year 2005 for the second time running and 17 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll, who is one of the most sought after, inspired and musically driven players on the scene and arguably the most passionate when he gets behind the decks. Our main man incorporates scratching and multiple deck use for simply astounding full on bosh sets. Eddie is joined by the only northern appearance of 2006 from Japanese superstar Yoji Biomehanika who brings his hard techy beats and pumping melodic tunes. Next up is Dutch tech-trance demon Sander Van Doorn who makes his Goodgreef and north east debut fresh from his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Joining him is dynamic Dutch duo Mark Norman, a stonking JFK Classics set, the Princess of Bosh Tylor-Leigh who is supporting her M8 Magazine CD cover mix, Goodgreef resident Barry Connell, local hero Richard Tulip and hot talent James Alexander aka Kid complete an awesome and unique lineup.
Making his first Newcastle appearance is Best Remixer in the Hard Dance awards and GG producer whiz kid Dark By Design aka Gaz West who headlines the Hard Dance lower deck alongside Radio 1’s latest signing Kutski. Supporting them is Holland’s biggest Hard Trance talent Tommy Pulse making his North East & Goodgreef debut. Hard dance legend Nick Sentience provides an exclusive Producers set while well respected DJs Ilogik & Ian M rock it along with another NE debut from Technikal aka Alf Bamford. Lastly there’s fast rising young talents, Shan and Neal Thomas - all these guys will be relentlessly smashing it for you from 5pm through to 3am!
We have also gone and recruited some star of the future for your aural entertainment and in the Future Floor Fillers Room it’s a who’s who of deck talent from some of the most fresh and exciting young stars around. Mark Maitland, William Daniel, Gaz Walgate, James Anderson, Andy Jackson, G-Rex, Jade Brook, Chris and Matt Kidd and Doug E are on call for some stomping techno, trance and hard dance.
Finally on the Outdoor Top Deck House Party there will be dirty house and jacked-up electro vibes banged out from our gang of deck deviants who are long standing GG house ressie Kris James, Junior G residents Untamed Society and Deep Down and Dirty, Iain Mallet b2b Dave Little and Blackhall and Bookless.
We defy you to find a better way to see out the summer as we bring to you this riotous party with some of the world’s biggest DJs, exceptional local talent and some of the Goodgreef stars who have been rocking your life so far! This party is set on the amazing Tuxedo Princess ship moored right in heart of Newcastle where the sun will go down over the beautiful glittering cityscape and the party will go on right through the night until the sun starts to rise again! As ever we will be providing knock out production setting the scene for the ultimate bank holiday Sunday party!
