Breaking Bread: Para & Baila
With so many talented and popular crews in London all experts in their own sound tonight is all about bringing them together to show how they can rock alongside each other in the spirit of friendly competition. With sound system clashes being a fundamental part of Hip-Hop and Reggae alike this party really will bring something for everyone as we shake a leg to all manor of base heavy sounds.
Representing for London’s No.1 Hip-Hop crew, The Doctor’s Orders, are Spin Doctor & Mr Thing. Having started throwing parties back in 2005 they have welcomed the great and the good of the Hip-Hop world and thrown 100’s of parties in venues up and down the country. Tonight they will be showing off the skills that have kept them on top for so long with two of the most in demand resident DJs in the land.
Since forming in 2007, Reggae Roast have forged a reputation as the leading light in the resurgence of the UK Dub / Reggae scene. Combining the label, events and sound system they are spreading the conscious message in the music far and wide, whilst gaining a reputation as one of the key players in the new wave of British Reggae. They will be repped by Moodie Ranks & Adam Prescott as they bless us to two house of everything dubwise!
Breakin' Bread have pulled out their finest heavyweights for this crew clash. After 15 years of running Soul, Funk and Hip-Hop nights in the capital, Breakin Bread know what it takes to win a battle and Para and Baila are the men for the job. Para is one of the UK's top scratch DJ's and has released numerous mix CD's, singles and an album on the Breakin Bread label. Baila is his right hand man and a fine b-boy, actor and DJ in his own right! Together they combine to bring the finest mix of soulful sounds.
With each crew playing 2 x 1 hour sets it is sure to be a whole night packed with great music as London’s Hip-Hop scene show and prove.
