Calling all electronic music fans, techno heads and Brazillans!
This Sunday we are joined by Brazillian techno LEGEND Anderson Noise, Ben Gomori (one of our new residents), Guy Williams (Black Rabbit), JB and all the usual EGG weekly residents. We also have Sat night\\\'s MUAK party having a wee carry on in the loft... We are also running a special £8 guestlist for any Brazillian guests!
ANDERSON NOISE
A pioneer by definition is the first one to open roads into virtually undiscovered territory.The career of DJ and producer Anderson Noise is one as pioneer of the electronic music scence in Brazil. Native of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Noise started DJ ing in a slow but steady manner as is the custom in his region of Brazil. Yet he never forget to take the necessary steps to insure total success. In 1989, during the explosion of Acid House on the club scene, Noise started playing around the local circuit in his hometown. With the professional passion for DJ ing, hes noted for saying that, the function of a DJ is to emote the audience or bring them to an emotional frenzy. Subsequently Noise started organizing and producing large scale events in which he could also DJ for as early as 1992.
With a fervor, he opened space for the expansion of the electronic music scence in the capital city of Minas Gerais, which as the time was in an embryonic state locally speaking.
There were more than 40 party events thrown in places like mental institutions, car dealership lots, shopping centers, historic buildings, etc, etc. The Noise Family turned into an institution, as the entire family was involved in organizing and working the events. BEN GOMORI:
Music is Ben’s life. He’s been a keen follower of dance music since he first heard his older brother’s hardcore and jungle tapes aged 10, and works in the clubbing/dance music industry as a PR and Journalist. His obsession with music doesn’t stop at dance music though – he enjoys and appreciates virtually every style of music – which explains his diverse take on DJing. Born to Hungarian parents in Cambridge, he now resides in London and has been making solid progress in the world of DJing.
Ben plays across the house music spectrum. Deep, funky, dirty, electro, progressive, techy...there’s no prejudice as far as he’s concerned. GUY WILLIAMS:
Guy Williams has been gracing the decks since 1993 when he began his dj journey in his hometown of Manchester, soon gaining spots at such infamous clubs such as Flesh at the Hacienda, Vague in Leeds and Trash in Sheffield. He then became resident at Manchester\\\'s Holy City Zoo in 1995 before a move to London in 1997 to become promotions manager at Jive records and continue his dj career In November 2002 Danny Tenaglia personally invited Guy to play at his Be Yourself night at Arc, NYC for the second time! Having had no guests for over three months, Guy was top of Tenaglia’s list to help him create what turned out to be an unforgettable night.
2003 saw Guy grace the honoured decks of Radio 1’s Essential mix to great response, this led to him playing on the Radio 1 stages at both London Pride in Hyde Park and for Ibiza’s legendary Radio 1 weekend. Also during the Radio 1 weekend Guy played/hosted a DTPM Recordings party at Base Bar as well as a storming set @ Bora Bora. Guy also completed a remix for Independiente alongside Derrick Carter and Peace Division. 2004 saw Guy play rocking gigs at The End with Tom Stephan for his Superchumbo Party, Ministry of Sound Saturdays for his Bi-monthly residency, Pin Up Club in Sheffield, and with gigs in Moscow, Miami, Belfast, Slovakia, Poland, Ibiza, Italy, France, Venezuela and New York it was a very busy year!
