Incredibly the end of the month is already here at Gallery HQ, which means one of two things – a) it’s payday (woo-hoo!) and b) we’ve pulled out all the stops to bring you a party fit for a king! On Friday 26th January The Gallery goes for the jugular with a super-large main room workout consisting of Judge Jules, Tall Paul, Sister Bliss and Gavyn Mytchel. This week’s rave up really is a classic Gallery line-up if ever there was one, with all 4 jocks hailed as 4 of the best and most popular DJs in our history. Judge Jules is not only one of the hardest working DJs on the circuit (over 350 gigs a year!), but his Radio 1 show is still paramount to Auntie Beeb’s dance music output. The Judge loves to be let loose at The Gallery, where his open-mindedness is the key!! Like Jules, Tall Paul and Sister Bliss are old skool. They were there back in the day, at the first ever Gallery party to be exact and they both still know how to rock the party! Paul has had a really busy 2006, touring the globe pretty much every weekend, whilst the Blisster has been locked away in the Faithless studio, working on the recently released new album. Honestly, it’ll be like a proper family reunion on the night, with weekly resident and Gallery Radio show host Gavyn Mytchel firing up the system for the final hands-in-the-air set of the night. Newcomer John Bentley gets his chance on warm up duties.
A short shuffle away in T2, the backroom beats will be supplied by Steve Lee (a newly qualified London cabbie!) who presents Joy’s 2nd Birthday. To him with the celebrations, Steve’s drafted in old skool glam house master Jim “Shaft” Ryan, plus rising star Jerry Drew. Meanwhile in T3, the action continues with a bang as Above & Beyond’s acclaimed record label, Anjunabeats host a special on-off event, showcasing the talents of some of the label’s hottest young bucks. Step forward Super 8 & DJ Tab, plus Daniel Kandi and label boss James Grant – who between them will be mixing up the highest quality trance sounds for The Gallery faithful.
