Book Slam, London's best literary nightclub, returns to the Clapham Grand. Guests include Ned Beauman, Emma Jane Unsworth, Elvis McGonagall, Benin City with our host for the evening Lolly Adefope.
Book Slam in May will be ineffably fun and cool. Fiction comes from NED BEAUMAN, one of Granta’s latest batch of the Best of Young British Novelists, who introduces us to his new novel, ‘Glow’, and the excellent EMMA JANE UNSWORTH, author of 'Animals' ('I wish I had written this book ...' says Caitlin Moran). They're fun and cool.
ELVIS MCGONAGALL is the smartest, sharpest and laugh-out-loud funniest poet either side of Hadrian’s Wall. He’s fun and cool too.
Music comes from BENIN CITY. If you don't think they're fun and cool, you clearly know the meaning of neither word.
Hosted by LOLLY ADEFOPE - she's definitely fun, if not exactly cool.
