This month at Thirsty Thursdays we're giving you something a little different. Traditional DJ's days are numbered, linear progression between tunes is old hat, technology is taking over. As such, this month TT offers you the Laptop Warriors. We’ve selected a cracked team to show you what can now be done with the latest equipment.
After several years of globe trotting Sami Voodoobass is finally returning to London and to mark the occasion we have him opening up the event. Sami should be well known to you all being a keen member on the board and in the clubs. Expect some dark proggy beats from the HarderFaster Houngan.
Stepping up next is a loyal follower of the Thirsty Thursdays events Wykah. Just three years ago Wykah was strolling along the south bank when he saw a little trance party going off on the beach. Having turned his back on the clubbing scene for nearly 10 years he decided to give it another go that day and hasn't looked back. Following the posting of his Wykahmixes to HF he's now been asked to make his debut behind the decks (or should that be laptop) at TT.
Taking over from Wykah is kr00t0n, another familiar name to you all. It’s been 2 years of ups and downs for Krooton since we last booked him for TT, he’s been concentrating on the psy trance but for this event he’ll be letting his hard down and trancing it up.
Finishing the night is a special 2 hour set is HarderFaster’s DJ of the Year 2008 Mad Phil Lankester AKA Libra 9.
If you have seen or heard him play, or even discovered him under his ‘Libra 9’ guise, you will know that originality and excitement go hand in hand with this man, he’s an individual can go that extra mile and set himself apart from the norm.
Since cutting his teeth into the industry over 10 years ago, Phil has built an extremely devout following in London., as well as completing tours in Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. We are very proud to have him back.
