we most humbly entreat your kind attention
for we are collectively overwhelmed to announce
A VERYVERYWRONGINDEED WAREHOUSE PARTY
to infuse a gentle and fragrant Ibizia breeze throughout
the
frankly uncivilised and rotting corners of London...
(not recommended for those of a patriotic or sensitive disposition)
A warehouse? Well, how long would one expect veryverywrongindeed to remain locked down in clubs? It
started as a free beach party in Ibiza, via nastydirtysexmusic and part of the sinister organiser's longstanding mischevious desire to doing everything under the cultural radar. So fucking all that off, VVWI has been at Ministry and Turnmills - once both on the same night - and it's well-known as the night that turned Ministry around when it was terminally uncool. It's toured DC10, Dublin, Montreal, Basel, more free beach parties, and at one point ran simultaneously on Sundays across London, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester and Brighton. It's even inspired a new label of "afterhours music", veryverywrongindeed recordings - too weird for the minimalists but way too late-night for the mainstream, and described by IDJ as "really freaky shit".
As Metro put it, "VVWI's ethics and twisted take on techno has inspired a younger generation to reinvigorate acid house's renegade spirit". And as Danny Tenaglia said, "It was only yesterday I did 3 back to back interviews for the UK re Ibiza and someone asked me who made the most impact on me - and I said ; Tim Sheridan".

ITALOBOYZ (MOTHERSHIP / TREIBSTOFF)
It was Ricardo Villalobos who really propelled the Italoboyz into the stratosphere by pushing their track Viktor Cassanova at every gig. Now world-famous as "the opera-singer track", it was picked up to launch Claude vonStroke's new, deeper label "Mothership Records", and is now championed not only by vonStroke but Loco Dice, Sven Vath and Luciano, helped along by a remix by man of the moment Samin. But they've also been releasing on Gumption, Einmaleins Musik and Safari Electronique - a fusion of minimalism, hi-tech funk, live and new sounds, resonant with the acid-house approach of the past but also with an eye to the seductiveness of the new...
ANDRE CROM (SENDER / LIEBE*DETAIL)
One of the fastest-rising of all German producers, Andre Crom's first track "Notaufnahme", with Tigerskin on Liebe*Detail, was a sensation - played by Magda, Troy Pierce, Roman Flügel, Steve Bug and Luciano - and followed up with equally well-recieved EPs on key labels such as Ellen Alien's Memo, Sender, Veryverywrongindeed and Leftroom. His first UK gigs were earlier this year at afterparties like Retox and Redlight, and Dec 1 will be the first time the Saturday night London crowd will get to see his "disco minimal" brand of afterhours craziness.
DUB KULT (RAUM / TRAUM / CURLE)
He's the biggest UK DJ you've never heard of. His records and his label, Living, get props from everyone from Bug to Villalobos to Weatherall to Vath. He’s been remixed by Guido Schneider and remixed Efendin, and been in Groove’s top 10 techno releases of the year as early as 2003. He's released on Warp's offshoot Arcola, German labels Traum and Raum...Musik, Belgium’s Curle and has a track coming on the UK’s veryverywrongindeed and a remix of Petar Dundov due out soon on Music Man. He did the soundtrack for Channel 4's upcoming Burning Man film, the Tomorrow's World Live show and he’s played more gigs in Europe than he is ever likely to do in the UK ...
AND OUR RINGMASTER TIM SHERIDAN....
He's been doing it for 22 years. Part of the Utah Saints team, a founder of KISS FM in the north, main resident at Home, the man who bought new music to Ibiza by taking over the backroom of Manumission to bring out new sounds like Ewan Pearson, and who made Ministry cool by landing his Ibiza free party nastydirtysexmusic throughout the building... and he was even one of the first guests at Superfreq and Mulletover. This year meanwhile, Tim has been working on three projects - his new record label Veryverywrongindeed Recordings, his BBC documentary about the real Ibiza, with the first interviews with people previously unavailable such as DC10 supremo Andrea Pelino, Mike and Claire Manumission and the bongo-playing cave-party hippies... and nor forgetting the movie script in development...
