Ez Duzzit's Independent Fridays Round 2 @ George IV - Review

Do you ever find yourself bored on a Friday evening with nothing to do and saving yourself for the big Saturday night? to find out that the big Saturday didn’t turn out to be so big? Or even that good. Well I’ve found a new and exciting party to try out on a Friday night – EZ Duzzit. This party has kick ass music with a great line up. But I feel what really makes this party stand out is that the DJ’s want to have fun and don’t believe in the ‘I’m a DJ syndrome’. They just want to play music and have a laugh. The other major bonus is that you can party all night long and still find that you have Saturday and Sunday to recover! But definitely reduces those Monday blues. If you’re looking for a night of pure unadulterated fun, then EZ Duzzit is the party for us and should definitely be the party for you.
After 5 years on the outdoor/underground circuit and hosting the main room for Smile U.K, the doctors got a prescription for a night of hard bass. With a massive line up of London’s finest such as Dr Duzzit, Paul K, Shaf de Bass, Prozak, Raymondo, Dex, George-E, Phil Able, Samson and J-K. This was our 2nd visit to this spectacular party and we were definitely not disappointed.
Our summer full night of hard house and euphoric trance started at a venue we all have come to know as a dump! But even George IV doesn’t bother us when the music and the people are so good! It was great to be at a party that still has that old fashioned feel to it, what I mean is, they are proud of what their putting on, running around making sure everything is ok and chatting to us all to see if everyone is enjoying themselves. It’s great to see so much passion and it’s a bit catching so you can’t help but enjoy the energy! Dr Duzzit as well as the team put a lot of effort into the décor to make these monthly parties a definite success.
Dr Duzzit
After a month of staying at home and watching the pennies, we were very anxious to get out and have a party. After our last experience with this party, we had an awesome time, we were a little worried to see if the party could perform the same quality of music and atmosphere as the last one. I was looking forward to a great night. My fiancé and I have taken it easy on the club scene recently, just because we are fed up of the big parties where you meet the same people and are squashed in the same corner dancing to the same tunes. We were lucky enough to stumble onto this party and have been enjoying it ever since.
George E & Phil Able
So let’s stop talking about how good it is and show you that the proof is in the pudding. So kicking off when we arrived at 10pm was Prozak with his funky warm up with house uplifting tunes such as Trippy Trax‘s version of Kylie’s “Spinning Around”. What a great start to the night. He did a fantastic set but we found out later he damaged his shoulder that day so was in terrible pain but it wasn’t obvious by his great stage presence. As the night progressed a b2b session of some fine bass masters stepped up to the decks (Shaf de Bass & Raymondo) to a warmed up bunch of party house enthusiasts thumping the dance floor, with a quantity of hard house tunes like Nick Rafferty’s “The Coalition” and “Access” by KY Jelly Babies. After bouncing my body through some friendly faces I caught up with Shaf in the well known beer garden, and asked him what he thought of the party and said “its wicked good fun and great music” I asked him what was his tune of the week and he said “with out a doubt it has to be “Murder was the bass” so taking a breather as you do in the beer garden we got chatting to people finding out what they thought of their Friday night. Everyone was having a blast and loved the fact we could come outside for a breather and a chat! Anyway, it was time to get back to the house of fun for an uplifting euphoric bass line with the man himself, Dr Duzzit & Dex doing the double grand slam with a great b2b session!
So many fantastic tunes were churned out but can I remember them now? NO. Another great tune I heard was "Absolution" by (Wild & Ben). At 3.30am there was still people queuing up and the crowd was fantastic. So many happy people to come jam and party! J-K b2b with Samson also got the crowd rocking with a brilliant set of naturally good hard house tunes.
Paul K
I have to put my hands up and admit that I was too busy chatting to watch the rest of the DJ’s do their thing but I felt I was spoilt for choice, great music and nice people to chat with. I hardly ever stay past 4am, but the party was still bouncing with great energy at 5am, we decided to stay til the end. Unfortunately, my ‘ole mate Paul K only played for a short while with his delightful bag of bouncy tunes. This man is fun! His music definitely reflects his personality. He’s a happy guy that just wants to play the decks! He’s like a Duracell bunny!!!
So special thanks to the E-Z Duzzit team, Tony aka Dr Duzzit, Paul K, and all the people for making Friday night such a success. If your looking for a teasing Friday of hard, bouncy house keep an eye on Harder faster for their next party. It was great to meet lots of new and interesting people. But until then, all ya out there in club land see ya soon on a dance floor!
Thanks to Paul K & Houseguy for the great photos! Share this :: : : :
