A State Of Trance 2008 (Double Compilation CD)

This should generally be an easy one for me to review, given that the content is likely to be right up my street. The two CDs are split by mood and feel, aptly named "On The Beach" for the first CD and "In The Club" for CD2. So as you might guess, the first CD kicks off with a very laid back and progressive feel - comprising tracks such as his own release "Unforgiveable" with Jaren on vocals, and M6's "Amazon Dawn". In true ASOT style as listeners to the show will appreciate, the pace and style picks up over the duration of the mix - think in terms of ASOT Radio show hour 1. We finish up with the Kyau & Albert remix of Lange's "Out Of The Sky", which sets the perfect point to swap over to CD2.

CD2 picks up almost exactly where CD1 left off, and we find ourselves on a much trancier tip from here on in. Tracks which I favoured here in particular would include the likes of Sunloungers "Lost" and Stoneface & Terminal "Blueprint" - and again the mix progresses really nicely lifting you all the way to the finish. I've popped the full tracklisting below for you to check out, and ASOT fans may just want to go and pick this one up..
