The Brian M vs. Mcbunn remix starts of well with a low passed bass, hard stabs and a chopped vocal that fades up to reveal itself as the much used “listen, do you hear it? It’s getting closer now”. Then in drops an almighty bass line and off we go!
The breakdown takes a bassy pad and mixes it with a piano to good effect, before the vocal ushers in the main riff which follows the notation of the piano. When it drops back in the kick and bass has been changed for a dirty, distorted kick and bass combo, but I can’t really say I was too surprised! A sweet key change later on keeps things interesting enough and works well. A tale of two tunes for sure, but they both work well.
The Doctor Tunes + Brian Sid Club remix starts off a lot more alive, with a hugely chopped vocal and lots of other sounds making for a very full start. It’s not long before the bass drops and changes this into a full on Dutch Hardcore monster pretty much. The breakdown ushers in a very uplifting synth for the riff, even more so that the Brian M & Mcbunn remix but it does work when it drops back into the dirty bass kicks. There’s another short breakdown before the outro which brings back the break beat section too. This is definitely a harder remix, but they’re both excellent so I am having trouble choosing between the two!
