There have been a million and one Ibiza CD's released over the years and I can't help but feel that it's generally a financial decision as opposed to genuinely try put out something musically good. However for once I don't think this is necessarily the case.
Mixed by Rob Roar this twin CD set is as the name suggests a blend of chilled out mixes to watch the sun go down and something a little more in your face for when you're several beers down and want to get groovy. On the plus side they manage to avoid overly obvious tracks and it does sound a bit different to what you'd expect although on the down side I have to say probably just not quite to my taste. The chillout CD is suitably laid back as you'd expect and I could see myself kicking back and watching the sun go down quite easily to this in the background but a couple of tracks did seem a little out of place and in danger of ruining the overall vibe.
If house is your thing and you want something apart from the mainstream then it's probably worth an audition.
