» Phantom Whistler Chapter 5 Remixes

Label: Beat & Path
Format: Digital

With remixes from Jamie Stevens & Hernan Cattaneo, Desert Dwellers and Uone himself, Phantom Whistler Remixes Chapter 5 begins the remix series. This is on Beat & Path. There's also a ReRoll by Timboletti.

Desert Dwellers unleash an expansive, well-produced, mix that really does transcend the electronic genre. A lush ambient soundscape set over a rolling bass-line and beat section. One for the box? Oh, yes. I've been following the Dwellers for a while and I love their work on Desert Trax.

Hernan Cattaneo teams up with Jamie Stevens for a dub of Project MK Ultra. This mix is deeper than the original version but is no less dancey. Timboletti rerolls Strike The Match and here, the beat is slower and more methodical in tone. There's a bit more energy here and the bassline is techy. Uone's own Escape The Asylum mix of Project MK Ultra sounds harder than the original mix of the track. It is definitely more intense and there's a bit more oomph about it.
